1 Day Away! RAINBOW PUSH CONVENES 24TH ANNUAL GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVE SUMMIT
DETROIT, 13 November 2023/– The automotive sector will gather in Detroit on November 14-15, 2023, for the 24th Annual Rainbow PUSH
Global Automotive Summit, which is an initiative of the Citizenship Education Fund. Over 300 automotive executives, entrepreneurs, suppliers, dealers, manufacturers, consumers, government, and elected officials will attend the Summit. This year’s theme, “Affirming Diversity in the EV Sector,” will focus on the inclusive the landscape of African American and minority involvement in the EV sector, which is critical to the industry’s future sustainability.
The economic framework for automotive company accountability will be explored by the industry’s leading Chief Marketing and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officers, along with Mobility, Tier One, and Global Automotive leaders. Robert Young, Group Vice President of Purchasing Supplier Development, Toyota Motor North America, Jeffrey Morrison, Vice President of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, General Motors, and Mike Lapham, General Manager of Procurement, Honda Motor Co. Inc., will speak at the Business & Education Luncheon.
During the lunch session, the automotive sector will distribute over $500,000 in scholarships, as well as introduce President and CEO of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III. In addition, Rainbow PUSH will also disclose the results of its Automotive Diversity Scorecard during the Press Conference at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, November 15th.
