Founded in 1999 by Dr. Theresa Price, a Compton, California native, the National College Resources Foundation (NCRF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational enhancement organization that was established in response to the passing of California’s Proposition 209, which banned affirmative action programs in state colleges. Over the past 26 years, NCRF has become a national force for educational equity, transforming lives and communities by expanding access to higher education and career pathways for underrepresented students.

Headquartered in California, NCRF serves over 200,000 students annually through a comprehensive suite of culturally responsive programs and services. These include:

The College Expo™ Tour (featuring the Black College Expo™ and Latino College Expo™)
The Movement Enrichment Program (TMEP)
STEAM Program
Internships & Careers Program
Student Athlete Program (SAP)
Entrepreneurial Academy
Latino Community Engagement

To date, NCRF has helped over 700,000 students gain college admission, including more than 450,000 first-generation students, while facilitating access to more than $5 billion in scholarships and grants. Nearly 80% of the students served by NCRF come from low to moderate-income households.

As a CRA-qualified organization, NCRF meets the financial standards outlined in the California Redevelopment Act, underscoring its long-standing commitment to educational equity and systemic impact.

Through academic support, emotional and social development, and life-readiness tools, NCRF empowers students to thrive—not just in college, but in life.
