4th of July

The California African American Chamber of Commerce honors Independence Day. July 4th is significant because it is a time to celebrate the founding principles of freedom and equality upon which the United States was established. We acknowledge the struggles and sacrifices made by African Americans throughout history to secure and expand the freedoms initially promised by the Declaration of Independence. The chamber also celebrates the contributions of African American patriots, both past and present, who have fought for the nation’s ideals of liberty and justice.
