Our Mission

As California’s largest statewide Black chamber organization, our mission is to drive economic opportunity and wealth creation for African American businesses, connect and harness the collective strength of our statewide network of member organizations to elevate our fiscal health.

What We Do

We leverage the power of our national, statewide, and regional networks of businesses, local chambers and community organizations, corporate, philanthropic, and institutional partners, elected officials, and members to bolster Black business success and strengthen our communities.

Our educational and advocacy programs drive equitable public policies that expand access to economic opportunities and level the playing field for African American businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as the African American community overall.

Nearly 6 million people in California are served by regulated water utilities. The California Water Association (CWA) represents the interests of these companies as they strive to provide safe, reliable, high-quality water and excellent customer service in a cost-effective manner.

CWA provides a forum for sharing best management practices, a means of promoting sound water policy by legislators and regulatory agencies, and opportunities for educating the public on protecting and efficiently using water resources.
